Students will understand how to research, analyze, and interpret biographical information. Directions Celebrate the achievements and contributions of individuals or groups within performing arts. Create a multimedia biographical poetry project. The theme is Black History Month. We have a diverse school. You are welcome to add diversity to your project. Cite your sources. Option 1: Create a biographical poetry poster. Images are required. Examples are at the bottom of the page. Option 2: Create a biographical poetry slide show. Images are required. Examples are at the bottom of the page. Option 3: Create a biographical poetry video. Images are required. You are only permitted to create videos if you are highlighting a music artist or composer. Examples are at the bottom of the page. Rubric: 200 Points Poster, slide show, or video: 100 Points Presentation: 100 Points Guidelines for Biography Poem (Line 1) First Name (Line 2) Three or four adjectives that describe the person (Line 3) Important relationship (daughter of…, father of…, etc.) (Line 4) Two or three things, people, or ideas that the person loved (Line 5) Three feelings the person experienced (Line 6) Three fears the person experienced (Line 7) Accomplishments (Who composed…., who discovered…,etc.) (Line 8) Two or three things the person wanted to see happen or wanted to experience (Line 9) His or her residence Line 10) Last name You are welcome to change the lines of the poem for creativity and expression.
